Hey everyone,
as i said in my introduction i just bought a "Ringer" Bloodpython. I guess you can call it like that... it has a snow-white blotch on the side. I thought it was quite an interesting animal, it hast this blotch since it was born and it didn't change at all since then.
First off all I just wanted a Bloodpython, this is what I ended up with and of course I am hoping that there is something going on with that white spot.
I am now trying to purchase a male that is from the same locality as the female that i own to breed it to her and then to breed the offspring back to her. Do you think this little project is worth the work? I mean, technically it's just a white spot, I mean... it can happen to everyone. I'm hoping that somebody can tell my fortune with this animal or give me some advice, most of you are more experianced than I am so... yeah
Here is another Picture of her:

A question for the breeders out there.
What are your male to female breeding ratios? How many females can a male breed in one season? I am curious for future breeding should we make our way through these bills safely.
after about 5 days of breeding chuck seems to be losing interest. what can i do to renew his spark, considering he's the only male i have. I need babies. hope i didnt blow it this season.
well folks this is it. the first time I've ever tried breeding. i paired my red blood female boudicca up with (btw traded my 2 hog islands for) a yellow blood male named chuck. I'll get pics up tomorrow. chuck is a good looking 06 with a really nice stripe. he didnt waste any time getting started either. i got him the day before yesterday. I checked in on them yesterday morning before work and he was courting and again after i got in from work which was about noon yesterday and they were already "busy" .
I also spoke with teresa briefly yesterday and she posed an excelent question. "why didnt you quarantine the animal first ?"
I knew the owner and the animal before time. ( just didnt expect joe to part with chuck ... then again he wasn't expecting me to offer him my hogs either.)
so with all of that out of my system i just want to say wish me luck guys and gals and thanks much.
So yesterday,I was planning on making a trip down to OKC to pick my oldest daughter up from the airport, from her private school in Houston,(fall Break),
So I called Tim up and said I wanted to see about picking up a few borneos from Him.He said give me a call when you get here,I drove 3hrs down to Shawnee,Ok and called he said come on by,Tim and his Wife Teresa, where sitting on the porche at 1030 at night waiting for me.
We got there and pure first class....We went in and started looking at baby borneos..I asked if I could see the adults which produced the offspring,He said lets check them out..I was first Time in along time overwhelmed and floored at such a first class Operation he has...His adults where some of the tamest prettiest Borneos....Now most of you know I used to work with Burms and retics and tinkered with some bloods but nothing just really caught my eye,Until Tim showed me Casper...on of his big females, and his hold backs from Sally and Peanut,Man those where some screamers for sure...
We sat in his Main Room for hrs talking and looking at his adults,I got a full history of bloods..and Shortails...I am telling you first class all the way..
I was just floored at the knowledge he shared with me,and the history of the Borneos and Bloods..
So after a few hrs of sitting there we went and started looking at his hatchlings and picking out pairings...I ended up leaving around 3am,we where all Tired, but I left with 2 boxes full of Borneos, and one happy herper....
I would love to sit and Pick his brain some more,Him and his wife Teresa are 2 of the finest people I have met in a long time.
So with all the spill here If you want awsome Borneos,Check out Tim and Teresa's Borneos. You will get nothing but first class treatment, and awsome animals..
Thanks Tim and Teresa I had a great time hope to do it agian sometime...

Outlaw Pythons
P. brongersmai.. or RED Blood python.. male and female?
P. breitensteini.. Borneo Short tail python.. male and female?
P. curtus.. BLACK Blood python.. male and female?
I have the oppurtunity to take in ..rescue... a Borneo, but I've been given some conflicting information from what I've always read and seen in pictures on Kara's forum. My understanding is that they are in the 6' range, as adults, with females being largest. I was recently told, ".. 9+ feet for them.. " and that just seems a little absurd.
What do ya'll say? Sam.. ? Meli.. ? Anyone else with a little more experience with the short tails.. ?
about how much do Python brongersmai babies weigh when they hatch? i figured i could guesstimate the age of mine by figureing out the average weight on just hatched babies....i googled it and no one said anything about weights on these guys
