Have you guys seen these threads about the montiored burms in the Everglades being dead:

Obviously I can't verify this is fact, but given the track record of the DOI/USGS/USFWS/NPS.... It's time we all call for an ethics investigation and/or contact the Dept. of Justice, this sh** has to stop.

Opinions? Is it just me, or does anyone else find it at least strange that these two directors don't seem to be up in arms about this? If the USGS/USFWS is covering up the death of any snakes, they (the USGS/USFWS/NPS) are not going to issue an official statement that they are covering up evidence!

Well it is USARK and unfortunately I believe that organization works hand in hand with the USFWS on these regulations. Most likely they knew ahead of time that they were going to withold the information. I'll do some digging on this see what else I can find.

Thanks John. Also, since it might be relevant, do you know if the DOI accepted USARK's offer of $10K to work together on regulations?

If this is the case, charges should be brought on ALL parties involved It is illegal for anybody to sway or influence government agencies monetarily or even by offering influence. Our government agencies are supposed to operate freely and independently solidly grounded in facts.

I agree. I'd ask USARK to explain what they mean by the following, but we all know how productive that would be. From USARK's blog page

I agree 100%. But what I'm really curious about is if USARK members' money went directly to the USFWS, one of the gov't entities that is leading the charge to get our pets banned! If so, members (and non-members) need to know about this. Even if the USFWS didn't/couldn't accept the money, the offer was made.
